The shiny stainless steel casing of the Oster 6058 Digital Convection Toaster Oven makes it suitable for most kitchens giving them a modern look. Beneath this casing is a durable cooking appliance providing plenty of convenient features.
The digital control panel at the front of the oven features several buttons allowing you to choose among its different functions –oven, toast, pizza, dehydrate, and defrost. The oven button is used for ordinary baking, convection baking, and broiling. There are also buttons for temperature setting, clock adjustment, and lamp switching as well as start and stop functions.
Right beside the control panel is a large glass window giving you a good view of the food inside. An interior light illuminates the food for an even better view. The window opens with a cool-touch handle. When opened, the cooking rack is automatically advanced thus eliminating the need to reach into the hot cooking chamber to retrieve your food. The casing is double-walled to help retain heat for faster cooking and to minimize heating up the exterior.
Inside is a roomy cooking chamber that can hold six slices of bread at a time, a 12-inch pizza, or a small-sized whole chicken. These, as well as pork roasts or casseroles, are cooked by heating elements that are heated to temperatures ranging from 150° to 450°F. A 60-minute timer with a bell signal allows you to attend to other things as your food is still cooking. All you have to do is set the temperature and the timer, and you can go help junior with his homework.
The Oster 6058 Digital Convection Toaster Oven comes with a durable baking pan, two chrome plated cooking racks, a crumb tray, and a broiler insert. These are all removable for convenient washing and cleaning.
