KitchenAid KCO223CU Convection Countertop Oven
The external housing of stainless steel and black trim of the KitchenAid KCO223CU Convection Countertop Oven makes it an appliance that can blend seamlessly with all your other kitchen tools and equipment.
The convection oven has a simple design, composed mainly of clean straight lines with softened corners. It has a huge window that is made of tempered glass giving you a full view of the food cooking inside. The control panel is mounted to the left of the window, consisting of four soft-touch knobs arranged in a stack. The opening handle is made of curved stainless steel that remains cool to touch even while the oven is running. The body itself also remains cool. On the side panels are black plastic carrying handles for ease of moving the oven.
The four control knobs regulate the oven’s functions. The top button allows you to choose bake for your pizzas and pastries, toast for bread, broil for meat or fish, and warm for leftovers or thawing frozen food. The second sets the recommended temperature for cooking up to a maximum of 450°F. The third is a timer that enables you to set cooking time up to 60 minutes. There is also a fourth button for choosing light or dark toast.
With a roomy interior, the oven can accommodate two 12-inch pizzas, or six slices of bread, or a 4-pound chicken. With this, you can prepare a full meal for a small family without using the regular oven. When using its convection function, cooking time is shortened by as much as 25% – 30%, with the food evenly cooked on all sides.
The interior is lined with a non-stick material that makes cleaning convenient. A removable and dishwasher safe stainless steel crumb tray catches crumbs from breads and cookies as well as oil or marinades that drip from meat or poultry.
Also included with the KitchenAid KCO223CU Convection Countertop Oven are a stainless steel broiler pan and two interior wire racks.
