Hamilton Beach 31509 Oven with Convection

Convection ovens cook food faster than their conventional cousins by as much 25%. Others even claim this to be higher at 33%. This is because the heat generated by the heating elements is circulated by an internal fan thus enveloping the food evenly in all its surfaces. This results in quicker cooking, browning, and crusting. All these are true with the Hamilton Beach 31509 Oven with Convection.
The front side of the Hamilton Beach 31509 consists of a large glass window through which you can clearly see the food that is cooking inside the 15-liter oven cavity. It can accommodate a whole chicken or six slices of bread. To its left is the control panel where three dials are mounted vertically.
The top dial regulates temperature levels starting at 250°C to a maximum of 450°C in increments of 50°. It also includes a setting for broil and toast that automatically chooses the optimum temperature for these functions. The middle dial is used for choosing the function desired. Your options are conventional bake, toast, broil, and convection cooking. The lowermost dial is the off/on switch. It is also a timer that can be set to automatically turn off the oven at a pre-set time of up to 30 minutes. It also has a stay on setting you can use if you are not sure about the food’s cook time, or if it exceeds 30 minutes.
The inner walls of the Hamilton Beach 31509 Oven with Convection are lined with non-stick coating. This makes any food particles or oil splattered on the walls easy to clean. Included with the oven are a metal pan for baking, a grid for broiling, and a crumb tray to catch food drippings and bread crumbs.
The oven measures approximately 14″ x 12″ x 19″.
