The Hamilton Beach 31199R is a countertop oven that measures 16″ W x 19″ D x 13.5″ H with a capacity of 1.1 cubic feet. At this capacity you can cook a 5-pound chicken or bake two 12-inch pizzas in one go. You can cook an entire meal for the family without ever turning on your big energy-hungry regular oven.
One of the three control dials regulates temperature levels, another powers the oven up for a continuous operation or for a specific length of time and shuts it down, while the third is for the selection of the desired function –broil, bake, convection, or rotisserie.
In the convection function, heated air is continuously circulated around the food which results in an even heating. This, in turn, leads to a faster cooking time by as much as 33% compared to a non-convection oven.
The rotisserie option rotates skewered meat, such as chicken, roast, or pork, while cooking. This locks in the natural juices and added flavors in the meat for a tastier and more succulent dish. It also browns and crisps the outside meat.
The large transparent front window gives you a clear view of the food while it is cooked. When the cooking’s done, you can open the oven with the stay-cool handle without fear of getting burned.
The Hamilton Beach 31199R Countertop Convection Oven comes with two oven racks, a broil rack, two baking pans, a crumb or drip tray that slides out, a rotisserie skewer and lifter. All these are dishwasher safe while the inside of the oven can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
