Hamilton Beach 31100 Countertop Convection Oven
With a cooking area that is larger than the typical convection oven, the Hamilton Beach 31100 Countertop Convection Oven is a fine substitute for your large freestanding or wall-mounted oven when cooking your regular meals. If you have a big family, you can also use it to complement the big oven, cooking the main dish in the latter and side dishes in the former.
The Hamilton Beach oven has room enough for two 12-inch pizzas or a 9″ x 13″ casserole, or two cake pans. With this capacity, a family of four persons may not even need to fire up their regular oven.
With its black casing, stainless steel highlights, and large glass window, the oven looks sleek and stylish making it an attractive appliance to park on your kitchen countertop. A curved handle made of shiny black plastic that stays cool to touch adorns the upper end of the oven’s door. On the left hand side of the oven are three dials that control its functions.
Using the control dials, you can choose among bake, broil, convection bake, or rotisserie cooking. Using the convection function activates a fan that circulates heated air inside the oven, which results in more even cooking of your food, crusting of its surface that traps moisture within, and faster cooking time by about 25%. The rotisserie, on the other hand, can hold a 5-pound chicken.
Equipped with a two-hour timer, the oven allows you to multi-task as you prepare dinner. Once your food is ready for cooking, simply choose the desired function along with the recommended temperature and time, and forget about it until you hear an audible tone indicating that your food is ready. You need not worry if you cannot get to the oven right away as it automatically shuts off.
The cooking chamber is coated with a special protective material that makes cleaning a breeze. You can simply wipe off grease or oil that has dropped or splattered on the walls.
The Hamilton Beach 31100 Countertop Convection Oven comes with two oven racks, two bake pans, a rotisserie skewer, and a boil grid.
