DeLonghi DO1279 Digital Convection Toaster Oven
Designed with two wire racks, the 0.5 cu. ft. DeLonghi DO1279 Digital Convection Toaster Oven can bake two 12-inch pizzas in one cooking, or toast 12 slices of bread at the same time. Thus, even large families won’t have to wait for the second pizza or the next six slices of bread.
The convection toaster oven looks neat with its clean straight lines. The front panel is bordered in stainless steel and has a large glass door. The door is opened with a tubular handle that spans its width. Controls are mounted on the left side of the toaster which consist of several buttons and an LCD display showing either the time or temperature.
The digital controls allow you to choose among the different functions of the oven. These are toast, warm, convection bake, defrost, normal bake, broil, and pizza. It also has a timer you can use to set cooking time for up to 120 minutes. Once set, you can forget about the food. The oven will warn you when cooking is done. For the toast option, it will even shut itself off automatically. If you do not want to leave the oven while cooking and you want to watch the food as it slowly browns, you can turn on the interior light and watch through the glass door.
With its power output of 1,400 watts, the heating elements can generate heat up to 500°F. In combination with the convection fans, this can cook food up to 30 to 40% faster than conventional ovens.
The interior walls of the toaster oven are lined with Durastone II enamel. This protects the interior from the extreme heat inside the oven and also prevents food particles from sticking to the walls making them easier to clean. Cleaning is further made easier with the slide out crumb tray.
The oven comes with a bake pan, broil tray, two wire racks, and two cookie sheets.
With measurements of 18.9″ W x 15.6″ D x 9.37″ H, it is easy to find a space for the toaster oven on your kitchen countertop.
