Black & Decker CTO4400B Perfect Broil Convection Oven
Small households and persons living alone need not waste energy running full-size ovens cooking their meals. A more sensible and economical way to cook is to use a smaller oven, particularly a more efficient convection oven like the Black & Decker CTO4400B Perfect Broil Convection Oven. Even large families can use it as a supplementary appliance when only a small amount of food needs cooking, or when the large oven is cooking the main dish.
The Black & Decker CTO4400B is a countertop oven with a large capacity. It has a deep curve at the rear of its interior, often called pizza bump, which allows you to convection bake a 12-inch pizza. Apart from pizza, you can also broil a medium-sized whole chicken, bake casseroles, or toast six slices of breads in its roomy interior. In addition to cooking, it also thaws frozen food and warms leftovers.
Choosing the oven’s desired function, temperature settings, and cooking time is easy with the three knobs mounted in a column on the control panel, which is on the right side of the oven front. The top knob is the temperature dial. With clear labels around it, you can choose any temperature from a minimum of 150°F for keeping cooked food warm to a maximum of 450°F for baking pizza or cookies. The middle dial is used to set the cooking function –keep warm, bake, broil, and toast. The bottom knob adjusts cooking time with a maximum delay of 60 minutes. It also includes a stay-on setting.
A reversible broiling rack comes with the convection oven. It is chrome-plated to make it more convenient to clean. There are two rack slots inside the oven where the rack can be inserted for cooking versatility. A removable crumb tray also comes with the unit to catch breadcrumbs and oil drippings. The oven’s interior is coated with a non-stick material to make cleaning easier.
The casing of the Black & Decker CTO4400B Perfect Broil Convection Oven is colored black, with a large glass window on the front panel, giving you a clear view of what is cooking inside. It measures approximately 20″ x 16″ x 12″.
